Broadway’s Anything Goes Extends Into January 2012

Roundabout Theatre Company has announced via its Twitter feed that it will extend its critically acclaimed Broadway production of the musical Anything Goes, at the Stephen Sondheim Theatre, with a new block of tickets now on sale through January 8, 2012. The production, directed and choreographed by Kathleen Marshall, was originally scheduled to run through Sunday, July 31, 2011.

The show features a score by Cole Porter, original book by P.G. Wodehouse & Guy Bolton and Howard Lindsay & Russel Crouse, and a new book by Timothy Crouse and John Weidman. In the musical, the S.S. American heads out to sea, and etiquette and convention head out the portholes as two unlikely pairs set off on the course to true love.

The musical stars Sutton Foster as Reno Sweeney and Joel Grey as Moonface Martin, along with John McMartin as Elisha Whitney, Jessica Walter as Evangeline Harcourt, Colin Donnell as Billy Crocker, Adam Godley as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh, Laura Osnes as Hope Harcourt, Jessica Stone as Erma, Walter Charles as Captain, Robert Creighton as Purser, Andrew Cao as Luke, and Raymond J. Lee as John.

Additional cast members include Clyde Alves, Ward Billeisen, Joyce Chittick, Nikki Renée Daniels, Margot De La Barre, Kimberly Fauré, Josh Franklin, Justin Greer, Daniel J. Edwards, Tari Kelly, Shina Ann Morris, Linda Mugleston, Kevin Munhall, Adam Perry, William Ryall, Jennifer Savelli, Anthony Wayne, and Kristen Beth Williams.

The creative team includes Rob Fisher (musical director), David Chase (dance arranger), Bill Elliott (additional orchestrations), Derek McLane (sets), Martin Pakledinaz (costumes), and Peter Kaczorowski (lighting), and Brian Ronan (sound).
