Willie Colon, Nina Garcia, Lin-Manuel Miranda, et al. Set for April 29 Hispanic Federation Gala
Tony and Grammy Award winner Lin-Manuel Miranda will host the Hispanic Federation’s 20th anniversary gala, to be held on April 29 in the Grand Ballroom at the Waldorf-Astoria Hotel.
At this fundraising event, five Latino trailblazers will be honored: Miranda’s mentor and father Luis A. Miranda, founding president of the Hispanic Federation; Nina Garcia, the New York Times Best-Selling author and judge on hit show Project Runway; Angel Sánchez, world-renowned Latin American fashion designer; Mike Fernandez, Vice-President of State Farm Insurance; and Willie Colon, internationally acclaimed recording artist and humanitarian.
In addition to the awards presentation, the evening will feature a performance by Colon and an appearance by Tim Gunn, as well as cocktails and dinner.
The Hispanic Federation is a service-oriented membership organization of nearly 100 Latino health and human services agencies dedicated to promote the social, political and economic well-being of the Latino community.
