Sigourney Weaver and Robert Cuccioli will be guest artists for The Little Orchestra Society’s Music Takes Flight – Airborne Symphonies concert to be offered on April 26 at Alice Tully Hall at 7pm.

The performance will explore man’s fascination with flight from the early Greeks to the Wright Brothers to NASA’s missions to the moon, through the solar system and beyond. Among the pieces which will be featured in the concert are Marc Blitzstein’s The Airborne Symphony, Samuel Barber’s Symphony No. 2, Aaron Jay Kernis’ Musica Celestis, and Kurt Weill’s The Lindbergh Flight.

The music will be supported by images curated by multimedia designer Elliott Forrest, including HD video and high resolution images provided by NASA.
