Television host Regis Philbin paid a backstage visit to the Broadway cast of La Cage Aux Folles for the Thursday, April 29 episode of LIVE! with Regis and Kelly. Several of the "La Cage" performers helped to transform Regis into a "Cagelle," the lovely "La Cage" show"girls."

The segment was part of the program's "Broadway Week," which has so far featured American Idiot, Hair, and Promises, Promises, and will conclude tomorrow with a visit with the cast of Come Fly Away.

La Cage Aux Folles, playing at the Longacre Theatre, is directed by Terry Johnson, with choreography by Lynne Page. The production stars Kelsey Grammer (Georges) and Douglas Hodge (Albin/Zaza).

Also featured are Fred Applegate (M. Dindon/M. Renaud), A.J. Shively (Jean-Michel), Veanne Cox (Mme. Dindon/Mme. Renaud), Robin de Jesús (Jacob), Christine Andreas (Jacqueline), Elena Shaddow (Anne), Chris Hoch (Francis), Heather Lindell (Colette), Bill Nolte (Tabarro), and David Nathan Perlow (Etienne).

The Cagelles are played by Nick Adams, Nicholas Cunningham, Sean Patrick Doyle, Yurel Echezarreta, Terry Lavell, and Logan Keslar. The cast also includes Christophe Caballero, Todd Lattimore, Dale Hensley, and Cheryl Stern.
