A party to celebrate the Lucille Lortel Awards, which honor the best in Off-Broadway theater, was held on Monday, April 19 at Inside Park at St. Bart’s.
Bryan Batt and Bebe Neuwirth will co-host the Awards, which will be held at Terminal 5 at 8pm on Sunday, May 2. The show will feature live performances from outstanding talent and shows that started Off-Broadway, including LaChanze, singing “Waiting for Life” from Once On This Island; a special performance by Seth Rudetsky; celebrity presenters; a curated gallery of historic programs, production stills, costumes, props from the last 25 years of Off-Broadway; and several surprises.
As previously reported, producer Daryl Roth will be given the 2010 Lifetime Achievement Award at the ceremony.
