PHOTO FLASH: Memphis‘ Charlie Williams Wins Broadway Beauty Pageant

Charlie Williams, a.k.a. “Mr. Memphis” was crowned the winner of the 4th Broadway Beauty Pageant on Monday, April 19 at Symphony Space.

Four-time Tony nominee Tovah Feldshuh hosted the pageant, which was judged by Christine Ebersole, Charles Busch and Michael Musto.

The event featured male cast members representing their respective Broadway shows, competing for the title crown through talent, interview and swimsuit competitions. Participants also included Wes Hart (Mr. West Side Story), Eddie Pendergraft (Mr. Wicked), Daniel Soto (Mr. Fela), and Rickey Tripp (Mr. In The Heights).

The Broadway Beauty Pageant is conceived by Jeffery Self and directed by Ryan J. Davis. Proceeds will benefit of New York’s Ali Forney Center, which is the nation’s largest and most comprehensive organization dedicated to homeless LGBT youth.
