Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan officially opened a limited Off-Broadway engagement of his autobiographical solo show, My Trip Down the Pink Carpet, at the Midtown Theater on April 19.

The run is being presented by Lily Tomlin and Jane Wagner, along with producers Bruce Robert Harris, Jack W. Batman, Dennis Grimaldi, Jean McFaddin-Susan Falk, and Daniel Wallace.

In addition to Tomlin, opening night attendees included Matthew and Cari Modine, Cynthia Nixon, Donna McKechnie, Levi Kreis, Penny Fuller, Kevin Spirtas, Tina Louise, Jay Manuel, and Jamie deRoy.

The show, directed by David Galligan, is filled with comically overwrought childhood agonies, offbeat observations, and revealing celebrity encounters — from Boy George to George Clooney — and promises to deliver a laugh-out-loud take on Hollywood, fame, addiction, gay culture, and learning to love oneself.

Jordan is best known for his Emmy-winning role as Beverley Leslie on Will & Grace, and for his work in writer Del Shores’ Sordid Lives. His other film and television credits include Boston Legal, Ally McBeal, Murphy Brown, and Monk.
