Tony Award winner Kristin Chenoweth, Today show co-host and Broadway star Kathie Lee Gifford, and fashion designer Heather Thomson received City of Hope's "Spirit of Life Award," in recognition of their philanthropic and business achievements, at a luncheon at the Waldorf-Astoria on Monday, April 26.

Chenoweth is currently starring in the Broadway revival of Promises, Promises. She won the Tony Award for You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and her many Broadway credits include Wicked, The Apple Tree, Epic Proportions and Steel Pier. She also received the Emmy Award for her work on Pushing Daisies and will guest star as April Rhodes on the April 27 edition of FOX's Glee.

Gifford starred in the Broadway production of Putting it Together. She co-wrote the musicals Under the Bridge and Saving Aimee. She is a seven-time Emmy Award nominee for her work on Live with Regis and Kathie Lee.

Proceeds from the luncheon benefited the research, treatment and education programs at City of Hope, one of the nation's leading cancer research and treatment centers.
