The Philadelphia-based InterAct Theater Company’s production of Lee Blessing’s When We Go Upon the Sea (running through May 9) has been added to the Americas Off Broadway Festival, and will play 59E59 Theaters, June 10-July 3.

The play, in which George W. Bush is put on trial for international war crimes, takes aim at an American populace that has grown strikingly complacent in the wake of extraordinary global challenges, exposing one of the world’s most intriguing and influential conflicts: the battle between the elected leader of the free world and a democracy of millions.

Paul Meshejian will once again direct the original cast, which features Conan McCarty as George W. Bush, Peter Schmitz as Peit and Kim Carson as Anna Lisa.
