Opera superstar Lauren Flanigan and stage and screen star Kate Mulgrew will participate in a free-of-charge Mother’s Day Concert in Central Park, to be presented by The InterSchool Orchestras of New York in association with GPR Records, at The Naumburg Bandshell on May 9 at 3:30pm. George Stelluto will conduct, and a live recording of the program will be released on May 23.

The event is in honor of Margaret Wise Brown’s 100th birthday, and features music by four-time Emmy Award winner Glen Roven based on two of her bestselling children’s books. Flanigan will be featured in the world premiere of Goodnight Moon, A Lullaby for Soprano and Orchestra, while Mulgrew will narrate The Runaway Bunny, A Concerto for Reader, Violin and Orchestra.
