Katie Finneran, Karen Ziemba and More to Honor Sam Waterston at May 3 TACT Gala

Sam Waterston will be honored at the TACT/The Actor’s Company Theatre spring gala, to be held at the Edison Ballroom on Monday, May 3, beginning at 6:30pm. TACT co-artistic director and company member Simon Jones will serve as master of ceremonies. James Cunningham will serve as musical director, and the evening will be directed by TACT’s co-artistic director Scott Alan Evans.
Broadway veterans Katie Finneran, Alison Fraiser, Julie Halston, Lee Roy Reams, and Karen Ziemba will perform, as will TACT company members Francesca Di Mauro, Todd Gearhart, Jack Koenig, Ron McClary, Margaret Nichols and Scott Schafer. The evening will include a special tribute to Waterson. During the gala celebration, TACT will bestow on him the coveted Order of the TACT Empire (OTE) naming him “Sir Sam.”
Waterston received three Emmy nominations for his work on Law & Order, and won for hosting Lost Civilizations. He received a Best Actor Oscar nomination for The Killing Fields and a Tony Award nomination for Abe Lincoln in Illinois.
