Jeff Daniels and Lea Michele to Announce 2010 Tony Award Nominations

Jeff Daniels and Lea Michele will announce the nominations for the 2010 Tony Awards, on May 4 at the New York Public Library for Performing Arts. The nominations will be webcast live beginning at 8:30am on www.TonyAwards.com, and will also be viewable after the event.

The Tony Awards will be presented on June 13, in a live three-hour ceremony to be broadcast by CBS from Radio City Music Hall.

Daniels is currently starring on Broadway in God of Carnage, and received a Tony nomination for his work in the show. Recent theater credits also include Blackbird at the Manhattan Theatre Club and the Goodman Theatre’s Turn of the Century. His many film credits include Dumb and Dumber, The Purple Rose of Cairo, Something Wild, and Terms of Endearment.

Michele is best known for her starring role on TV’s Glee. She received a Drama Desk nomination for her performance in Spring Awakening, with additional Broadway credits including Ragtime, Les Miserables, and Fiddler on the Roof.
