Hayley Atwell to Join Chris Evans, Sebastian Stan in Captain America Movie

Hayley Atwell will play Peggy Carter to Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers/Captain America in the upcoming movie based on the Marvel comic book superhero, according to the Hollywood Reporter. Joe Johnston will direct the film.
Atwell will be playing Captain America’s British love interest. As previously reported, the film will also feature Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, the hero’s sidekick.
Atwell’s stage credits include the title role in Shaw’s Major Barbara, opposite Simon Russell Beale; as well as The Man of Mode and A View From the Bridge, with Ken Stott and Mary Elizabeth Mastrantonio. Atwell’s film and television credits include Brideshead Revisited, The Duchess, The Prisoner, and the upcoming The Pillars of the Earth.
