Eddie Kaye Thomas to Star in World Premiere of Jack’s Precious Moment

Eddie Kaye Thomas, Tom Bloom, Lucas Papaelias, and Karen Walsh will star in the world premiere of Samuel D. Hunter’s Jack’s Precious Moment, which will be presented May 21-June 13, which is being presented by Page 73 Productions as part of Americas Off Broadway Festival at 59E59 Theaters. The production, to be directed by Kip Fagan, will open officially on Wednesday, May 26.

The play concerns Bib (Thomas), a young man coming to terms with his faith and his family, who sets out on a trip to the Precious Moments Chapel in Carthage, Missouri.

Thomas has appeared on Broadway in The Diary of Anne Frank and in the Off-Broadway production of Dog Sees God: Confessions of a Teenage Blockhead. He currently stars in the HBO series How to Make It In America and previously starred in the FOX series ‘Til Death. He is well known for his role as Finch in the American Pie series of films.

As previously reported, the festival will also feature Jeffrey Solomon’s De Novo (April 28-May 15), which examines the case of sixteen-year-old Edgar Chocoy, who pleaded with a U.S. court to not deport him back to his native Guatemala; Alan Brody’s The Housewives of Mannheim (May 6-June 6) which look at three women waiting for their loved ones to come home as World War II draws to a close; the InterAct Theater Company’s production of Lee Blessing’s When We Go Upon the Sea (June 10-July 3) in which George W. Bush is put on trial for international war crimes; Charles Smith’s Freed (June 11-July 3), which focuses on the first African-American to attend college in the Midwest; and Jenny Beth Snyder’s staging of Ayn Rand’s Ideal (June 17-July 3), which centers on a famous actress accused of murder and the six fans who are challenged to stand by their idol.
