Daniel Radcliffe to Star in 2011 Broadway Revival of How to Suceeed in Business Without Really Trying

Stage and screen star Daniel Radcliffe will star as J. Pierrepont Finch in a spring 2011 Broadway revival of How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying.

Tony Award winner Rob Ashford will direct and choreograph the production, which will be produced by Broadway Across America, Craig Zadan and Neil Meron. Additional casting, creative team, and theater information will be announced at a later date.

The show, which has a score by Frank Loesser and a book by Abe Burrows, Jack Weinstock, and Willie Gilbert; opened on Broadway in 1961. The show played for over 1,400 performances and won the Tony Award and the Pulitzer Prize. It was turned into a 1967 film starring Robert Morse and Michele Lee. The 1995 Broadway revival starred Matthew Broderick, who won the Tony Award for his work, and Megan Mullally.

Radcliffe made his Broadway debut in 2008 as Alan Strang in Equus, for which he received a Drama Desk Award nomination as Best Actor. He is best known for playing the title role in the popular Harry Potter series of films.

Ashford is currently represented on Broadway as director and choreographer of Promises, Promises. He won the Tony Award for Best Choreography for Thoroughly Modern Millie and received nominations for his work on Cry-Baby, Curtains, and The Wedding Singer. His other directorial credits include A Streetcar Named Desire and Parade.
