Scott Parkinson to Temporarily Replace David Cromer in Off-Broadway Our Town

Scott Parkinson will temporarily take over the role of the Stage Manager in David Cromer’s Off-Broadway revival of Thornton Wilder’s Our Town, at the Barrow Street Theatre, beginning May 1.

Cromer, who currently plays the Stage Manager, is taking a five-week hiatus to honor a prior commitment, and will return to the production in mid-June. The cast also includes Jeremy Beiler as Sam Craig, Rob Beitzel as Howie Newsome, Kati Brazda as Mrs. Webb, George Demas as Constable Warren, Donna Jay Fulks as Mrs. Soames, Jennifer Grace as Emily, Wilbur Edwin Henry as Professor Willard, Adam Hinkle as Joe Crowell, Ronete Levenson as Rebecca Gibbs, James McMenamin as George, Ken Marks as Editor Webb, Jonathan Mastro as Simon Stimson, Seamus Mulcahy as Wally Webb, Lori Myers as Mrs. Gibbs, Jay Russell as Joe Stoddard, Jeff Still as Doc Gibbs, and Jason Yachanin as Si Crowell.

The creative team features Michele Spadaro (set ), Alison Siple (costumes), and Heather Gilbert (lighting).

Parkinson most recently appeared Off-Broadway in The Third Story, with additional New York credits including The Coast of Utopia, Orson’s Shadow; Rose Rage, and Crime & Punishment. Cromer directed the award-winning Off Broadway musical, Adding Machine last season, and will make his Broadway directing debut next season with Neil Simon’s Brighton Beach Memoirs and Broadway Bound.
