Milk Can Theatre Company to Present Galileo and The Science Plays

The Milk Can Theatre Company has announced the two productions in its 2009 Spring season, with both shows running in repertory at Urban Stages, April 30-May 17.

Julie Fei-Fan Balzer will direct Bertolt Brecht’s Galileo, which chronicles the life and tragic fall from grace of seventeenth century Italian philosopher and mathematician Galileo Galilei. The cast will include Matt Biagini, Natalie Caruncho, James Caulfield, Ryan Clardy, Robert A. Felbinger, Alex Herrald, Jed Peterson, and Maria Silverman.

The Science Plays, six short plays inspired by the history of science, will include The Sense of Genius by Cheryl L. Davis, directed by Riv Massey, featuring Craig Klein and Amy Windle; Gertrude & Alyce Will Serve Ye Soone by Bethany Larsen, directed by Ryan Ratelle, featuring Katie Northlich and Cynthia Rice; Newton’s Genesis by ML Kinney, directed by Bobbi Masters, featuring Meg Mark, J.J. von Mehren, and Nicholas Wilder; Unraveled by Riv Massey, directed by Bethany Larsen, featuring Nick Brown, Misty Coy, Dan Evers, and Susan Levin; Drill by Andy Snyder, directed by Kimberly VerSteeg, featuring Matthew Campbell, Matthew Minor, and Miriam Mintz; and Greener Grass by Julie Fei-Fan Balzer, directed by Seth Gamble, featuring Mary Cavett and Aryeh Lappin.
