Midtown International Theatre Festival Announces 2009 Line-Up

The Midtown International Theatre Festival (MITF) has announced selections for its 2009 season, which will run July 13-August 2, at multiple locations including the June Havoc Theatre, the Dorothy Strelsin Theatre, the MainStage Theater, the Jewel Box Theater, and Where Eagles Dare Studio Blackbird.

43 plays and musicals have been chosen, which will include shows such as Daniel MacIvor and Gwydion Suilebhan NeverCracked; 1812 The Musical, featuring book, music and lyrics by Ira Shapiro; Eve and Lilith – Adam’s Temptation, by Johannes Galli; Love Humiliation and Karaoke, by Enzo Lombard; The Sword Politik, by Jon Crefeld; and Whiskey, Beer and Apple Pie, by Rob Egginton, Glen De Kler, and Eli Sands.

MITF will also present four readings and a series entitled Short Subjects, featuring works that run under 60 minutes.
