Liberace: The Man, the Music and the Memories, a biomusical about the flamboyant late entertainer starring Wayland Pickard, is aiming to open on Broadway next season.

The show, to be directed by Pamela Hall recreates a Las Vegas showroom performance by the late entertainer. Pickard has played Liberace in prior versions of the project. He has appeared on The Tonight Show, as well as such films and television series as Beethoven's 5th, The Great Santini, and Capitol.

Hall is the director of Danny & Sylvia: The Danny Kaye Musical, which opens next month at the St. Luke's Theatre. Her other credits include Picon Pie and The Rise of Dorothy Hale.
