Kelli O’Hara, Mandy Patinkin, Duncan Sheik, et al. Featured on Our Time’s Benefit CD

Stars from the worlds of Broadway, Rock, Pop, Hip-Hop, and R&B will appear on the CD Listen, to be released from Sh-K-Boom Records on June 23 as a benefit for the organization, Our Time.

This collection of 15 original songs are written by children aged 8-18 who stutter, and recorded by Broadway stars Ann Hampton Callaway, Michael Cerveris, Kelli O’Hara, Adriane Lenox, Norm Lewis, Adam Pascal, Mandy Patinkin, Anthony Rapp, Daphne Rubin-Vega, Sherie Rene Scott, Mary Testa, and cast Members from Spring Awakening, as well as that show’s composer and pop superstar Duncan Sheik. Also featured are iconic artists including Carly Simon, Daryl Hall & John Oates, and John Forte. In addition, Jon Bon Jovi donated the use of his studio for the recording.

Additional vocalists include Holly Brook, Blue Man Group, Amanda Kravat, Nicki Richards, Stomp, Michelle Weeks, Lucy Woodward, the youth of Our Time, and that organization’s Taro Alexander and Everett Bradley.

Our Time is a non-profit organization centered on a one-of-a-kind Arts program that provides children who stutter with a creative forum, where they can express themselves through art, music, writing and theater, slowly and without risk of being shamed.
