Karen Akers and Richard Kind to Appear at Play Company’s Cabaret Gourmet 2009 Benefit

Broadway star Richard Kind will host and cabaret and theater star Karen Akers will perform at the Play Company’s Cabaret Gourmet 2009 benefit, to be held at 7pm at Monday, April 27 at the American Airlines Theatre Penthouse.
The evening allows patrons to sample dishes from some of the city’s top restaurants, including Angus McIndoe, Grafitti, Gramercy Tavern, Market Table, and Shorty’s. 32. There will also be a silent auction and raffle.
Proceeds benefit the Play Company, whose latest show Lloyd Suh’s American Hwangap will begin performances on May 9 at the Wild Project.
