Delroy Lindo, Roslyn Ruff, and Garret Dillahunt will star in New York Theatre Workshop’s production of Naomi Wallace’s Things of Dry Hours, which will play May 22-June 28, with an opening set for June 8. Tony Award winner Ruben Santiago-Hudson will direct the production.

The play is set in Depression-era Alabama, and concerns an African American out-of-work Sunday school teacher and member of the Communist Party, his daughter, and the mysterious white factory worker on the run that they take in.

The show will feature set design by Richard Hoover, costume design by Karen Perry, lighting design by Marcus Doshi, sound design and original music by David Van Tieghem, fight direction and effects design by David Leong, and music composition by Bill Sims.

Santiago-Hudson won a Tony for his performance in Seven Guitars, and recently directed Signature’s The First Breeze of Summer. He also appeared in City Center Encores! production of Finian’s Rainbow.
