Cynthia Nixon and Lin-Manuel Miranda to Announce Tony Award Nominations on May 5

Cynthia Nixon and Lin-Manuel Miranda will announce the nominations for the 63rd annual Tony Awards at 8am on Tuesday, May 5 at the New York Public Library for the Performing Arts. The event will also be broadcast live in Times Square on the Clear Channel Spectacolor HD Video Screen.

This year’s awards will be held on Sunday, June 7 at Radio City Music Hall and broadcast live on CBS-TV, beginning at 8pm. No hosts, presenters or performers have been announced.

Nixon won the Tony for Best Actress in a Play for Rabbit Hole and is currently appearing Off-Broadway in the Roundabout Theatre Company’s production of Lisa Loomer’s Distracted. Miranda won the Tony for Best Score for In the Heights and also received a Tony nomination for his performance as Usnavi. He also contributed additional lyrics to the current Broadway revival of West Side Story.
