The Beauty Is…

Xanadu‘s Marty Thomas and a host of a chorus boys compete in The Broadway Beauty Pageant. Plus: Jonathan Cake, Edie Falco, Kristen Johnston, William H. Macy, Matthew Morrison, and Mya on the town.

On Monday night, the second annual Broadway Beauty Pageant was held at New World Stages to benefit the Ali Forney Center. A Chorus Line‘s Thomas Berklund was one of five contestants to show off his physique and talent.

Austin Eyer, currently appearing in Curtains, proved his athletic ability.

Joe Komara, a cast member of Grease, had fun with the swimsuit competition.

Daniel Robinson showed off why he was “Mr. Hairspray.”

Mr. Xanadu, Marty Thomas, is really a whiz on roller skates.

Last year’s winner, Frankie James Grande, made a surprise guest appearance.

Judges Seth Rudetsky, Susan Blackwell, and Hunter Bell (far right) and host Anthony Rapp added a dose of fun to the evening.

New York Post columnist Michael Riedel had the honor of announcing the winner.

On Monday night, the Atlantic Theater Company also had its annual gala. Here’s co-host Kristen Johnston, who appeared earlier this season in the company’s production of Scarcity.
