On Tuesday night, the annual PENCIL gala, honoring more than 500 New York City Public School-Business partnerships, was held at Cipriani Wall Street. The presenters included Liam Neeson, who will star this summer in Gate/Beckett as part of the Lincoln Center Festival.

Tony Award winner Matthew Broderick was another of the evening's presenters.

On Monday night, the National Corporate Theatre Fund held its annual gala at Cipriani Pegasus. Here's honoree Angela Lansbury (second from left) with dear friends Jerry Herman, Don Pippin, and Marian Seldes.

Michael McKean, set to star this summer in Pulitzer Prize winner Tracy Letts' new play Superior Donuts, was the evening's host.

Guests don't get much classier than Cat on a Hot Tin Roof star Anika Noni Rose and legendary dancer-choreographer Carmen deLavallade.

Popular playwright Jeffrey Hatcher was also on hand for the event.

Playwright Theresa Rebeck, who just published her first novel Three Girls and Their Brother, was at the gala to honor the Humana Festival.

Cabaret favorite Klea Blackhurst, who will host the 2008 MAC Awards, was part of the evening's entertainment.

On Monday night, Emmy Award winner Leslie Jordan flew into town to perform his hilarious solo show My Life on the Pink Carpet at New World Stages as a benefit for The Harvey Milk School -- and to receive a community service award from GAYFEST NYC.

Finally, on April 12, the Boys Town of Italy Gala was held at the Ritz-Carlton in White Plains. Here's one of the evening's honorees, the multi-talented Tommy Tune, with world-renowned band leader Peter Duchin.
