Kendra Kassebaum will once again play Glinda and Jayne Houdyshell will return as Madame Morrible in the Broadway production of Wicked on May 14 and June 17, respectively. The roles are currently being played by Annaleigh Ashford, who will move to the show’s Chicago company on June 3, and Miriam Margoyles.

Kassebaum’s other New York credits include Assassins, Rent, and The Receptionist. Houdyshell, who also starred in The Receptionist, received a Tony nomination for Well and is currently appearing in Paul Rudnick’s The New Century at Lincoln Center’s Mitzi Newhouse Theatre.

Based on Gregory Maguire’s novel, Wicked features a score by Stephen Schwartz and a book by Winnie Holzman. The production is directed by Joe Mantello, with musical staging by Wayne Cilento.
