Brier, DeLaria, Egan, Tartaglia, Wopat, York, et al. Set for The Metropolitan Room

The Metropolitan Room’s May schedule will include performances by Broadway veterans Rachel York (May 4), John Treacy Egan (May 11 and 26), and Kathy Brier (May 16-17), none of whom have previously played the popular venue.
The club will also host Avenue Q Swings on Monday, May 12, as a benefit for The Topia Arts Center in Adams, Massachusetts. The show, featuring jazz-inflected arrangements of songs from the hit musical, will feature original stars John Tartaglia, Stephanie D’Abruzzo, and Ann Harada, along with special guests Lea DeLaria, Melissa Fahn, Lauren Flanigan, Mary Cleere Haran, Kate Shindle, and Michael Winther.
Other artists scheduled to appear at the popular club in May will include Eric deCamps, Jamie deRoy, Alexis Gershwin, Jeff Harnar, Eleanor Reissa, Annie Ross, Marcus Simeone, Martin Vidnovic, and Tom Wopat.
