Full cast and creative team information has been announced for Tracey Scott Wilson’s The Good Negro, the fifth play of the inaugural PUBLIC LAB initiative. Liesl Tommy will direct the production, which will run May 20-June 1.

In the play, a trio of emerging black leaders tries to conquer their individual demons as the local KKK fights for its old way of life and everyday black men and women must overcome their fears — all under the ever-watchful eye of the FBI.

The cast will include Joniece Abbott-Pratt, Francois Battiste, J. Bernard Calloway, Lizzy Cooper Davis, Anthony Mackie, LeRoy McClain, Brian Wallace, and Myk Watford.

The creative team will feature scenic and costume design by Clint Ramos; lighting design by Lap Chi Chu; and sound design by Daniel Baker.
