Joey Lawrence to Make Broadway Debut in Chicago

Television star Joey Lawrence will make his Broadway debut as Billy Flynn in the long-running Broadway revival of Chicago, May 4-June 17.

Lawrence currently co-stars on the hit series CSI:NY. His previous television credits include Gimme a Break, Blossom, and American Dreams. He was a finalist on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and toured with the stage version of the show througout the U.S. and Canada.

Chicago features a score by John Kander and the late Fred Ebb, including such hits as “All That Jazz,” “Mister Cellophane,” “Razzle Dazzle” and “Nowadays.” The production is directed by Walter Bobbie with choreography by Ann Reinking

Chicago currently stars Bebe Neuwirth as Roxie Hart, Brenda Braxton as Velma Kelly, Philip Casnoff as Billy Flynn, Rob Bartlett as Amos Hart, Roz Ryan as Matron Mama Morton, and R. Lowe as Mary Sunshine.

Bianca Marroquin will take over the role of Roxie on April 23, and Lisa Rinna and Harry Hamlin will join the company as Roxie and Billy on June 19.
