Boublil and Schönberg to Appear at Barnes & Noble on April 3

Alain Boublil and Claude-Michel Schönberg, who wrote the scores of the current Broadway musicals The Pirate Queen and Les Misérables, will make a special appearance at a free event at Barnes & Noble Lincoln Triangle (Broadway and 66th Street) on Tuesday, April 3 at 6pm.

They will be joined for an onstage conversation by Margaret Vermette, author of the new book The Musical World of Boublil and Schönberg. In addition, the program will include a video clip from The Pirate Queen and selections from Les Misérables, Martin Guerre, and Miss Saigon performed by singers Joe Paparella and Jennifer Zimmerman and pianist Soren Anders.

The Pirate Queen officially opens on Thursday, April 5 at the Hilton Theatre. It stars Stephanie J. Block, Hadley Fraser, Linda Balgord, Marcus Chait, and Jeff McCarthy. The show is directed by Frank Galati, with musical staging by Graciela Daniele.
