Laura Benanti, Justin Bond, Drew Sarich, and Sherie Rene Scott are among the performers set to appear in the coming week at the Zipper Factory (336 West 37th Street). Formerly known as the Zipper Theatre, the Zipper Factory has recently added a new tavern and balcony bar to the complex.

On Monday, April 30, Brian Charles Rooney, who starred as Lucy Brown in the revival of The Threepenny Opera, will make his solo debut with the show Turn Me On…Turn Me Up. On Monday, May 7, Drew Sarich, currently appearing in the revival of Les Misérables, will perform in concert; he will be joined by Ann Mandrela, Steve Gilewski, Brad Carbone, Roderick Hill, and Eric Svecar.

On Sunday, May 13, composer Todd Almond (People Like Us) will be joined by Broadway stars (and now-engaged couple) Laura Benanti and Steven Pasquale. On May 14 and 15, former Tony Award nominee Sherie Rene Scott — soon to return to Broadway in The Little Mermaid — will present a new work in progress with Thoroughly Modern Millie lyricist Dick Scanlan.

On Saturdays, May 19, June 9, and July 21, the popular Wau Wau Sisters will bring their unusual act to the Zipper. On Sunday, May 20, the Zipper will present the infamous Va Va Voom Room, an evening of burlesque and vaudeville. On Monday, May 21, there will be a special benefit for ASTEP (Artists Striving to End Poverty), featuring the music of Dolly Parton.

On Wednesday, May 30, Justin Bond — a.k.a. Kiki of Kiki & Herb — will rock out with his band, The Lost References. On Monday, June 4, the Zipper will host singer-songwriter Lance Horne and his band, the One Night Stands. And on Monday, June 11, singer Sheri Sanders will present an eclectic evening of rock songs and show tunes.
