PS Classics will record the Roundabout Theatre Company’s revival of the Tom Jones-Harvey Schmidt-N. Richard Nash musical 110 in the Shade on April 23, and the release date is set for June 5. Grammy Award winner Steven Epstein is the cast album’s producer.

Directed by Lonny Price, the show is in previews at Studio 54 and will open officially on May 9. It stars four-time Tony Award winner Audra McDonald as Lizzie Curry, two-time Tony winner John Cullum as H.C. Curry, Steve Kazee as Starbuck, Cristopher Innvar as File, Chris Butler as Noah, Bobby Steggert as Jimmy, and Carla Duren as Snookie. The ensemble includes Coleen Fitzpatrick, Valisia Lekae Little, Darius Nichols, Mamie Parris, Devin Richards, Michael Scott, Will Swenson, Elisa Van Duyne, Matt Wall, and Betsy Wolfe.

The production team includes Dan Knechtges (choreography), Paul Gemignani (musical direction), Jonathan Tunick (orchestrations), Santo Loquasto (sets and costumes), Christopher Akerlind (lighting), and Dan Moses Schereier (sound).

Based on Nash’s play The Rainmaker and set in Texas in the 1930s, the musical tells the story of Lizzie Curry, a single woman on the verge of becoming an “old maid,” whose life changes when the charismatic rainmaker Starbuck comes to town.
