The Vineyard Theater has extended the run of its hit musical [title of show] for one more week, through April 30. The company will unveil its last show of the season, Mary Pat Gleason’s solo play Stopping Traffic, on May 24.

Written by and co-starring Jeff Bowen and Hunter Bell, [title of show] tells of its creators’ attempt to write a musical for the New York Musical Theatre Festival. The production also stars Susan Blackwell and Heidi Blickenstaff. It was directed by Michael Berresse, who received a Lucille Lortel Award nomination for his work.

Stopping Traffic, which will be directed by Lonny Price, is described as a “deeply felt and wildly funny” play that concerns the actress’s bipolar disorder and her search for healing. Gleason has appeared in such films as A Cinderella Story and 13 Going on 30, as well as in dozens of television shows including Friends, Will & Grace, and Desperate Housewives. She also had a two-year stint as Jane Hogan on the CBS daytime drama Guiding Light.
