The Producers to Play Paris Casino in Las Vegas

An agreement in principle has been reached to present a 90-minute version of the multiple Tony Award-winning musical The Producers at the Théatre des Arts in the Paris Las Vegas resort hotel and casino. The plan is for the show to open late this summer.
Susan Stroman, who directed the Broadway production of the musical and helmed the recent film version, will once again direct. As of yet, there has been no announcement of casting or other production personnel, nor has a final decision been reached on ticket prices or show times.
Based on Mel Brooks’ s 1968 film of the same title, The Producers tells the tale of a down-on-his-luck theatrical producer and a mousy accountant whose scheme to bilk investors in a Broadway show backfires. The musical has a score by Brooks and a book by Brooks and Thomas Meehan. The Broadway production won a record-setting 12 Tony Awards.
