Shout! The Mod Musical to Bow in July at Julia Miles Theatre

Shout! The Mod Musical, which uses some of the greatest pop songs of the 1960s to tell the story of five young women coming-of-age in England, will begin performances at the Julia Miles Theatre on July 11. The show, which is co-created by Philip George and David Lowenstein, will open officially on July 27.

Prior to its New York engagement, the show will play the Raymond F. Kravis Center for the Performing Arts in West Palm Beach, Florida, June 9-July 2.

George, who also directs, has helmed numerous editions of Forbidden Broadway and Howard Crabtree’s Whoop-De-Doo, while Lowenstein is choreographing the show. The show’s cast will feature Marie France-Arcilla, Erin Crosby, Julie Dingman Evans, Erica Schroeder, and Denise Summerford. The design team includes David Gallo (set design), Phillip Heckman (costume design), Jason Lyons (lighting design), Tony Meola (sound design), and Brad Vieth (musical direction and orchestrations).

Among the songs that will be featured in the show are “To Sir With Love,” “Downtown,” “You Don’t Have to Say You Love Me,” “Son of a Preacher Man,” and “Goldfinger.”
