Rebecca Pitcher and Jennifer Hope Wills to Be Phantom‘s New Christines

Rebecca Pitcher will take over the role of Christine in The Phantom of the Opera on Monday, April 17, while Jennifer Hope Wills, who will be her alternate, will give her first performance on Thursday, April 20. The current Christine, Sandra Joseph, will leave the show on Saturday, April 15 after having played the part for more than 1,300 performances.

Pitcher has been the alternate Christine for the Broadway production since last July and has also played the role on the show’s national tour. Wills has starred on Broadway in The Woman in White, Wonderful Town, and Beauty and the Beast.

Phantom currently stars Howard McGillin, Michael Shawn Lewis, George Lee Andrews, David Cryer, Anne Runolfsson, Marilyn Caskey, Heather McFadden, and Roland Rusinek.
