No April Fool, Harry Connick, Jr. turned up at Tony’s DiNapoli restaurant on Thursday, March 30 for the unveiling of a portrait of him that has now been added to the restaurant’s “Wall of Fame.”
Among those on hand to admire the portrait by Dan May was Kelli O’Hara, Connick’s co star in the current, smash-hit Broadway revival of The Pajama Game.
Also making the scene at Tony’s was Roz Ryan (right), who plays Mabel in The Pajama Game, with her lovely daughter.
Lisa Kron’s play Well, in which Kron co-stars with Jayne Houdyshell, opened last night at the Longacre Theatre, and the after-party was held at the Hard Rock Cafe. Here’s Kron at the party, relaxing in a chair designed by Todd Oldham.
Houdyshell (left), looking far more glamorous here than she does in the show, was greeted at the party by the very funny Molly Shannon.
Also taking her turn in the Oldham chair was stage and film star Joan Allen.
Among the many other notables in attendance: the great actress Marian Seldes…
…musical theater star Liz Callaway…
…Cherry Jones, soon to be back on Broadway in Faith Healer…
…and the enduring team of Anne Meara and Jerry Stiller.
