Olivier Award Nominee Lee Evans to Play 37 Arts

British comedian Lee Evans, who received an Olivier Award nomination for his work as Leo Bloom in the London production of The Producers, will appear in New York from May 19 through June 3 at the 37 Arts Theatre (450 West 37th Street).

One of the UK’s most popular stand-up comics, Evans has played to huge crowds at the London Palladium, the Lyric Theater and Wembley Stadium, as well as in the “Just for Laughs” Festival in Montreal. He is the winner of the prestigious Perrier Award and the Time Out Comedy Award. BBC America will air Lee Evans: XL Stand Up Special at 8pm on Saturday, May 13.

Evans’s stage credits include Endgame, and he has been seen in such films as Ladies Man, The Fifth Element, Funny Bones, and There’s Something About Mary. He also appeared in the movie Mouse Hunt opposite his Producers co-star Nathan Lane.
