Mark Moses to Play Title Role in Burleigh Grime$

Mark Moses will join Nancy Anderson, Jason Antoon, James Badge Dale, John Lavelle, Wendie Malick, and Ashley Williams in Burleigh Grime$, Roger Kirby’s new comedy about Wall Street, which will begin an open-ended run at New World Stages on May 23. The production, to be directed by David Warren, will open officially on June 13.

The show will feature original music by two-time Tony Award nominee David Yazbek, which will be performed live by an onstage band. The creative team also includes James Youmans (set design), Gregory Gale (costume design), Jeff Crotier (lighting design), Peter Fitzgerald (sound design), and Andy Blankebuehler (chroeography).

Moses will play the title character, a calculating Wall Street wizard. The actor is currently starring on the hit ABC series Desperate Housewives as Paul Young. His stage credits include the Broadway production of Slab Boys, the Public Theater production of Love’s Labours Lost, and the Mark Taper Forum’s production of Our Country’s Good.

Anderson’s Broadway credits include A Class Act and Wonderful Town and she was most recently seen in Fanny Hill. Antoon starred on Broadway in Contact. Dale is best known for his role on the TV series 24. Lavelle starred on Broadway in The Graduate and Off-Broadway in Rope. Malick’s stage credits include North Shore Fish and Questa and she is best known for her role as Nina Van Horn on the NBC sitcom Just Shoot Me. Williams starred on the sitcom Good Morning, Miami.
