Gleason, Kaye, Kudisch, Ziemba, et al. to Salute Charles Strouse at Encompass Benefit

Joanna Gleason, Jason Graae, Judy Kaye, Marc Kudisch, Phyllis Newman, and Karen Ziemba will be among the celebrities saluting composer Charles Strouse at the Encompass New Opera Theatre Benefit Gala, to be held at 6pm on Sunday, May 7 at the National Arts Club (15 Gramercy Park South).

The event will celebrate the career of Strouse, composer of Bye Bye Birdie, All American, Golden Boy, Applause, Annie, and many other Broadway musicals. Marian Seldes will host the benefit, which will also feature appearances by Madeline Gilford, Thomas Meehan, KT Sullivan, and other surprise guests. Proceeds will benefit Encompass, a non-profit company specializing in developing new music theater and contemporary opera.
