Ghostlight to Record The Drowsy Chaperone and George M. Cohan Tonight!

Ghostlight Records will record the cast albums of the Broadway musical The Drowsy Chaperone and the Off-Broadway musical George M. Cohan Tonight!, with both CDs scheduled for release on June 13.

The Drowsy Chaperone CD will be produced by Grammy Award winner Joel Moss. The show, which officially opens on May 1 at the Marquis Theatre, has a score by Lisa Lambert and Greg Morrison, and a book by Bob Martin and Don McKellar. The ensemble cast includes Danny Burstein, Georgia Engel, Sutton Foster, Edward Hibbert, Eddie Korbich, Beth Leavel, Kecia Lewis-Evans, and Lenny Wolpe. The show is directed and choreographed by Casey Nicholaw, with musical direction by Phil Reno.

George M. Cohan Tonight!, currently on view at the Irish Repertory Theatre, stars Jon Peterson as the legendary Cohan. The show is written and directed by Chip Deffaa, with musical direction by Sterling Price-McKinney.

Ghostlight is a division of Sh-K-Boom Records. Its catalogue includes the original cast albums of See What I Wanna See, The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee, and Dirty Rotten Scoundrels, as well as the Actors’ Fund of America benefit recording of Hair and Patti LuPone’s soon-to-be-released The Lady With the Torch.
