Atkins, Hibbert, Leavel, Pryce, Redgrave, Wanamaker, et al. Set for ATW Seminars

Eileen Atkins, Edward Hibbert, Beth Leavel, Jonathan Pryce, Lynn Redgrave, and Zoe Wanamaker will participate in the American Theatre Wing’s upcoming “Working in the Theatre” seminars at the CUNY Graduate Center (365 Fifth Avenue).

Hibbert and Leavel will be featured on Friday, April 21 as part of a panel discussion of the musical The Drowsy Chaperone, in which they currently star. Also scheduled to participate are the show’s writers, Lisa Lambert, Greg Morrison, Bob Martin, and Don McKellar, as well as producers Kevin McCollum and Roy Miller. The panel will be moderated by ATW executive director Howard Sherman.

On Friday, April 28, Ted Chapin will moderate a seminar titled “Actors on Performance,” featuring Atkins, Pryce, Redgrave, and Wanamaker. Atkins is currently starring as Sister Aloysius in Doubt, while Pryce is appearing as Lawrence Jameson in Dirty Rotten Scoundrels. Redgrave will play Lady Bracknell in Sir Peter Hall’s production of The Importance of Being Earnest, set to begin performances at BAM on April 18. Wanamaker is starring in the Lincoln Center Theater production of Awake and Sing.

Both seminars will begin at noon and each has a scheduled running time of 90 minutes. Admission is $10 (free for ATW members) and seating is available on a first-come, first-served basis, with tickets distributed to reservation holders starting at 11am.
