Encompass New Opera Theatre to Celebrate Sheldon Harnick’s 80th Birthday

On May 2, Encompass New Opera Theatre will host a gala celebration in honor of the acclaimed Broadway lyricist Sheldon Harnick on the occasion of his 80th birthday. The event will take place at the National Arts Club, 15 Gramercy Park South, beginning at 6pm.

Featured in the gala will be performers from current and previous Harnick shows, including Barbara Cook (the original production of She Loves Me), Boyd Gaines (the revival of She Loves Me), and Alfred Molina and Randy Graff (the current Broadway production of Fiddler on the Roof). Also scheduled to appear are Alan Alda, Glenn Close, Marlo Thomas, Charlotte Rae, and KT Sullivan.
