New Dramatists have announced plans to honor five-time Tony Award winning director and choreographer Susan Stroman with their 2014 Lifetime Achievement Award. The award will be presented at the organization's 65th Annual Spring Luncheon tribute, which will be held May 22 at the New York Marriott Marquis.

Tributes will be offered by a number of Stroman's collaborators, including Tony Award winner Boyd Gaines. New York City Ballet's Tiler Peck will perform a selection from Little Dancer, Taylor Mac will present a selection from The Last Two People on Earth, and Tony nominee Marin Mazzie will perform from Bullets Over Broadway. Contact collaborator John Weidman and cast members from The Scottsboro Boys will also participate. The event's cochairs are Letty Aronson, Roy Furman, and Julian Schlossberg.

Susan Stroman is currently directing Bullets Over Broadway on Broadway. She has won Tony Awards for her direction and choreography of The Producers and for her choreography of Contact, Show Boat, and Crazy for You. Among her other credits are Big Fish, Oklahoma!, and The Scottsboro Boys.
