Carnegie Hall has announced the complete cast for its gala benefit performance of Guys and Dolls on April 3 in Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage. Three-time Tony Award-winning director Jack O'Brien will helm the production. Newly announced cast members include Tony winner Len Cariou (Sweeney Todd), who will play Arvide Abernathy, and Tony nominee Lee Wilkof (Assassins) as Harry the Horse. Members of the Mission Band joining the previously announced Allison Blackwell (Agatha) are J.D. Webster (Calvin), Linda Mugleston (Martha), and Joseph Torello (Joseph).
In addition, Glenn Seven Allen, Manuel Herrera, Adam Jepsen, Jason Mills, Curt Olds, Nicholas Rodriguez, Cody Williams, Adam Alexander, Nicolas Dávila, Rebecca Eichenberger, Constantine Germanacos, Gaelen Gilliland, Juan Jose Ibarra, Denis Lambert, and Brian Charles Rooney have been added as ensemble members.
The production's starring cast members, which were announced late last year, include two-time Tony winner Nathan Lane as Nathan Detroit, Megan Mullally as Miss Adelaide, two-time Tony nominee Patrick Wilson as Sky Masterson, and Sierra Boggess as Sarah Brown. Other previously announced cast members include John Bolton as Angie the Ox, Robert Clohessy as Lieutenant Brannigan, Tony nominee Colman Domingo as Rusty Charlie, John Treacy Egan as Nicely-Nicely Johnson, two-time Tony nominee Christopher Fitzgerald as Benny Southstreet, two-time Tony nominee Jayne Houdyshell as General Matilda B. Featuring music and lyrics by Frank Loesser and a book by Jo Swerling and Abe Burrows, Guys and Dolls has become an American classic. Based on short stories and paintings by Damon Runyon, the musical paints a picture of New York City in the 1930s and '40s, following gamblers Sky Masterson and Nathan Detroit, missionary Sarah Brown, and nightclub dancer Miss Adelaide. Guys and Dolls was last revived on Broadway in 2009.
