Kristin Chenoweth Brings The Evolution of a Soprano to Carnegie Hall This May

Emmy and Tony winner Kristin Chenoweth returns to the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall on Saturday, May 3, for an all-new program titled The Evolution of a Soprano, directed by Richard Jay-Alexander.
Featuring pianist and music director Mary-Mitchell Campbell, the one-night-only concert showcases Chenoweth's career as a coloratura soprano and her musical influences from her classical training in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, to her starring roles on Broadway. Chenoweth will also perform a selection of new works, standards, and works popularized by amateur soprano Florence Foster Jenkins.
Highlights from Chenoweth's stage career include her Tony-winning role in You're a Good Man Charlie Brown, her Tony-nominated performance in the long-running Stephen Schwartz musical Wicked, and her most recent Broadway appearance in the revival of Promises, Promises.
Her previous concert experience includes collaborations with various symphonies, including the New York Philharmonic, Boston Pops, National Symphony Orchestra, the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, and the San Francisco Symphony. Her upcoming May 3 performance will mark her first solo appearance at Carnegie Hall since her sold-out show in September 2004.
