Happy Few Theatre Company Will Present Its Inaugural Production of As You Like It at Theaterlab

The production will be a seven-person contemporary adaptation of Shakespeare’s classic.

Happy Few Theatre Company will present its inaugural production of William Shakespeare's As You Like It April 10-April 27 at Theaterlab's new space. The production stars an acclaimed cast of seven noted classical actors performing a contemporary adaptation of the play that uses video and live original music.

The cast, all of whom play multiple roles, features director and company founder Ellen Adair, Patrick Mulryan, Anna O'Donoghue, Eric Gilde, Nat Cassidy, Christopher Seiler, and Alexander Sovronsky. The ensemble will be led by Ellen Adair and Eric Gilde as directors.

Sovronsky will also write the music, which will be performed live by the production's ensemble of actors. The design team includes costume designer by Mia Bienovich, video designer by Bart Cortright, technical direction by Sean Gorski, fight choreography by Ben Kahre, and lighting design by Tyler M. Perry.

Happy Few Theatre Company, a New York-based theater company, aims to emphasize the direct connection of the playwright, from classical to contemporary, to the audience.
