Atlantic Theater Company's revival of Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht's The Threepenny Opera has extended its off-Broadway run at the Linda Gross Theater by a week. Martha Clarke's production will now close on May 11, after officially opening on April 7.

Using a translation by Marc Blitzstein, the musical stars Michael Park as Macheath, Laura Osnes as Polly Peachum, Sally Murphy as Jenny, F. Murray Abraham as Mr. Peachum, Mary Beth Peil as Mrs. Peachum, Lilli Cooper as Lucy Brown, and Rick Holmes as Tiger Brown. The show also features Sophie Bortolussi, Jon David Casey, Timothy Doyle, John Kelly, Cristina Spina, and John Watkins.

Based on John Gay's The Beggar's Opera, The Threepenny Opera follows Macheath and his criminal exploits in 19th century London. When Macheath marries Polly Peachum, the straight-laced daughter of merchant J.J. Peachum, their unlikely union unleashes chaos.
