The 2003 off-Broadway musical Zanna, Don't! will return to New York for a one-night-only concert reuniting the original cast. The event will take place June 30 at 54 Below with two performances, at 7pm and 9pm.
Zanna, Don't! is set in a world where gay is the norm, the chess team is cool, and the football players are dorks. When the students put on an original musical about the hot-button issue of straights in the military, the opposite-sex leads realize their confusing true feelings for each.
The concert will feature original off-Broadway cast members Anika Larsen, Darius Nichols, Amanda Ryan Paige, Jai Rodriguez, Enrico Rodriguez, Robb Sapp, and Shelley Thomas. Two members of the original production staff, Adam Grosswirth and Jonathan Tessero (who will also music-direct), will present the production.
The event will benefit the Hetrick-Martin Institute.
54 Below is a performance venue and nightclub just below the legendary Studio 54. The venue provides a food and beverage menu and world-class entertainment on the stage.
