Mother, Wife and the Complicated Life, a new musical that premiered in the U.S. at the New York Musical Theatre Festival last summer after touring throughout Australia, will have a one-night concert production at 54 Below on March 18.

The show stars Australian TV and pop star Amity Dry, who wrote the music, book, and lyrics, in addition to Nikki Aitken, Rachel McCall, and Susan Ferguson. It features music and arrangements by Mark Simeon Ferguson and direction by David Lampard.

Mother, Wife and the Complicated Life is an account of the experiences of modern-day women, expressed in a uniquely candid Australian way. The story follows the lives of four best friends through the joys and frustrations of trying to "do it all."

Amity Dry starred on Australia's The Block. Dry has also written and starred in numerous shows in the Adelaide Fringe and Cabaret Fringe Festivals.

The show will also be featured as a side event at this year's "Commission for the Status of Women" conference at the United Nations on Monday, March 17.
